COMMENTS: Our approach will be as follows: 1) Study the hardcopy plans to determine the best method to convert to digital plans. 2) Three methods will be utilized: (i) CAD Drafting from dimensions shown on plan (ii) scan hardcopy before transferring image to be digitally stenciled or (iii) digitizing the hardcopy plans. In most cases, a combination of methods will be adopted to create the desired end product. 3) Organize a strategy meeting to find ways to complete the job in the shortest time possible. As our fees are based on hours of drafting, this process is intended to minimize cost for the client. 4) Completed draft CAD drawings will go through a QA/QC process to ensure no information has been missed or inaccurately drawn. 5) Corrections will be made until a 100% accurate product is attained. 6) CAD files will be burnt onto a CD, and shipped to client in a damage-proof mailer or sent by email/uploaded to a FTP site. Our rates are $25 per hour (negotiable downwards for larger number of plan sheets). Actual final budget will depend on number of hardcopy plans to be converted, and the complexity of the plans.
