PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Need a script to extract personal profile attributes from the linkedin site (www.linkedin.com).
Script flow:
- User will provide his linkedin ID and linkedin password
- Script will validate username and password and return an error code if credentials as invalid
- Script will connect to LI and get the entire profile:
* All Personal Data (= every field in linkedin profile)
* All Personal connections
- Script will return personal data in an associative array having field names as keys
(example: profileData = array (firstName => "foo", lastName => "bar", profileimage="http://...", ......)
- Script will return connections in a separate arrays array
(example: connection = array ( array (emailAddress => "foo", name => "bar", title=”mytitle”, location=”mylocation”, profileimage=”http://...”)) )
- A small demo script should be provided in order to test the script, developer will provide these features:
* Allow me to Input personal linkedin ID & password on a form
* Script to retrieve information
* Display personal information and list of connections on a form
In order to accomplish the task, it is preferable that you have access to LI API. Please specify if you have no access to it. An alternative will be to grab data (for example by using CURL) but that is less desirable and may not be allowed by LinkedIn. Please note the LI API is not publicly distributed yet, so please check before bidding.
Bidders offering scripts able to import profiles from other social network sites like Facebook or MySpace in addition to Linkedin will be preferred. Please specify if you have done this before. I am interested in a fix bid approach so I will issue a more detailed specification document, however you may provide an estimate based on the requirements described herein.
Payment will be issued once the component is functional per the specifications. Ongoing support will be required for additional fees.
Full source code is requested for every component provided, and intellectual property ownership will be transferred to and owned by Precidion Inc upon delivery and payment.
The script will be deployed on a Java 1.6 / tomcat 6.0 environment.
