Jobs for America Act
The Jobs for America Act, signed on by the Senate Minority Leader, Tom Daschle, and others, will require companies to specifically account for how many jobs are being shipped overseas, where and why. The Act requires companies that lay off 15 or more workers and send their jobs overseas to provide at least three months notice. It also requires notification to the Departments of Labor and state and local government agencies. Read Tom Daschle press release.
