DESCRIPTION
Way Forward Technologies was registered in Kenya on 08 November 1995 under Cap. 499, Section 14 Laws of Kenya by Alex M. Gakuru (Certificate No: 233270). Starting from 1992, we have consulted leading companies and/international organisation in the Eastern Africa Region (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Somalia-ICRC).

Among our local consulting organisations/projects have been AAR Health Services - 200+ PC LAN IT Database systems on medical, insurance, laboratory and pharmacy stocks management. System support covered all their medical centres in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kampala (Uganda).

Kenya Breweries 1997 Rights Issue (Database) IT system development and implementation with Price Waterhouse Consultants and Citi Bank Nairobi.

Coffee Trading System – C. Dorman Ltd since 1992, Raki Investments, Sangana Commodities Ltd, Kyagalanyi Coffee -Uganda

Kenya Export Directory 2004-2005 outsourced to us.

Limuru Milk Processors Ltd – SQL Server Sales and Stock Control Ledger (Since 1998).

Norfolk Hotel Front office system 1992, first stock and share brokerage program for Kenya in 1991 used by 6 Nairobi Stock Exchange stock/share brokers.

LPO Tracking System for Burns & Blane Engineering.

The core objective of this program was to control the hundreds of LPOs issued by the purchasing department every month to ensure suppliers met the following:

· Delivery deadlines
· Agreed prices
· Full delivery
· Invoiced amount correspond to LPO amount

The program also kept track of amounts ordered for each cost centre and could alert the purchasing department if the Budget amount was being exceeded. One could also establish thevalue of business from a supplier in order for the company to negotiate for better discounts.

Undertook the desktop publishing and printing of the book. A Kiswahili version was later published.

1. Kenya Export Directory 2004-2005 outsourced to us. A database application burned on CDs for international distribution at Trade Fairs and Shows. HTML, animated gifs and other advertisements and were encapsulated by a custom developed program that autorun on CD insertion to a any version of Windows PC. Included in the CD were typical end-user freely downloadable setup applications necessary for the directory program to run under any Windows version.

2. An OCR project proposal demonstration for the Nation Media Group Library (Mr. Kamau- Librarian)
Reads old newspapers and converts data to any database MySQL, Access, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc.

Prices:
- Prices are quoted on a per job basis after understanding and factoring associated production costs.

Payment terms:
- Small on-off contracts - up front.
- Medium, short-term contracts usually weekly.
- Medium, long-term contracts weekly of fortnightly.
- Large, long term contracts fortnightly or monthly.
* For contracts requiring specialised training/extra capacity, payment of such expenses are expected in full and in advance to enable the project commence.

We prefer to transact through direct bank transfers through our Bankers Equity Bank Limited, Community Branch, Nairobi.

Turnaround time:
- This depends on the contract can could vary from day(s), weeks, months, or year(s).
- Quotations specify the guaranteed turnaround time the promise on which we have to deliver.
