Tathya is a software development consulting firm that specializes in helping software and e-commerce companies develop quality innovative solutions on varied platforms, within cost and on time.

We also partner with Small and Medium Enterprises to provide Information Technology Mentoring and Consultancy support to them. For most of these companies, IT does not constitute a part of their core activities. By providing them with a virtual IT management infrastructure, we let them concentrate more on their core Business while we take care of their worries about maintaining and adding value to their IT infrastructure.

SKILLS
We have extensive Software Quality Assurance procedures built in and have modelled our Quality Assurance work flow on proven and time tested methods developed on the currently successful Open Source projects and the eXtreme Programming principles. This has allowed us to:
Guarantee bug free and predictable software development life cycles.
Achieve at least 25% saving in debug phases which translates into at least 10% saving in total project time lines.

TERMS
We work on projects in two contracting formats:

1. Project Based Contracts...
In this we go into a contractual relationship with the client for a single well defined project. Our consultants talk to the prospective client about the project requirements and draw up a preliminary spec. We quote time and cost on the basis of this preliminary spec and decide upon a total project cost after further consultation and/or negotiation with the client representative. Our consultants also draw up a change management protocol with mutual consent of the client. On finalization of the project cost, we require an advance payment from the client that ranges between 15-30%. We then start generating a final spec after further consultation with the client and even build small prototypes of specific modules to fix ideas. In this stage we may go into the Change Management mode if the spec needs modifications on the basis of these deeper researches and provide our final time cost estimates and renegotiate the final price (usually we seldom have occassion for this re-negotiation step unless the project is vague and requires considerable R&D). We also provide definite time lines and delivery schedules at this point and start developing the project. In case the project requires less than a month, we expect a full and final payment only after satisfactory completion of the project. If the project spans a period of more than a month, we expect milestone based payments from the client on a mutually agreed schedule.

We base our cost estimates on the following basic rates in such cases:

Project Manager: US$15.00 per man hour
Analyst Programmer: US$15.00 per man hour
Senior Programmer: US$11.50 per man hour
Junior Programmer: US$ 8.50 per man hour

Any specialized hardware or software that need be acquired for the project, are either supplied by the client or billed on actuals.
