British Freelance Editor

U.S.-based innovation company is seeking a sharp editor who not only knows the language and culture of the U.K., but has recent first-hand experience of that consumer market. We’re creating a five-month private online community with activities for U.K. consumers, exploring lingerie products in the U.K. Experience editing/writing exclusively for women will be a huge plus.

At the basic level, we’re looking for an Editor. We need someone to line edit a U.S. writer, vetting copy for correctness, tone, and relevancy. In addition to having recent experience of the U.K. retail market, you must be smart, very reliable and organized, highly detailed, a quick study, and a superb editor/writer. Requires approximately 4-6 hours of work a month.

For qualified and interested editors, we are also open to hiring a Writer/Editor. This person could write activities, analyze responses, and draft weekly client reports of 2-4 pages. In addition to having the skills needed for the Editor position, those interested in writing must be experienced in crafting questions to elicit consumer responses, knowledgeable about general consumer trends, adept at analyzing data or open-ended questions and spotting consumer insights, and skilled at synthesizing and summarizing. We anticipate this level of contribution will take on average about 30 hours per month.

This is remote freelance work, with no travel required, but does require weekly deliverables from you. This is NOT a Web Development position. All documents can be completed in MS Word, with data downloads through Excel (for Writers). Must have reliable Web access.
