Auroma Soft Pvt. Ltd. (ASPL) is a professional, ethical, quality-conscious company dedicated to knowledge.

ASPL is located in the city of Pondicherry, South India, which is just 100 miles south of Chennai (formerly Madras), and is easily accessible by road and air.

We started operations a little over five years ago as a prepress services provider for such companies as SPI Technologies. Primarily, we are engaged in data conversion (paper-to-electronic formats and electronic-to-electronic formats), data entry and data processing. We are able to serve a variety of clients who publish novels, STM books, academic titles, directories, dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc., as also customers who have needs in any kind of data processing and/or data conversion. We have experience satisfying data minng needs of clients, and have assisted in data warehousing/archiving activities.

In the past year, we have been involved in data mining operations for US-based clients in the legal industry.

We recently launched Academic Tutoring services, and will enter the Legal Process Outsourcing industry in a small way.

We count our people as our biggest assets, of whom there is no dearth in Pondicherry. While we generally opt for the latest technologies in providing services, we keep an ear open to the specific requirements of individual clients. We are therefore able to acquire necessary technologies at short notice and train our people to use them. SKILLS
The Company:
• An MBA from USA, a Chartered Accountant, and an exporter form the Board of Directors. They lead professionally qualified team leaders and staff who are covered by PF and ESI.
• Fully functional, 1200 sq.ft., 28-seater office.
• Ability to scale up operations to 56-seats immediately by introducing a second shift.
• Can set up a second two-shift, 28-seater facility given a lead time of 60-90 days.
• Current hardware assets include a Pentium-4 server and AMD based Novel Netware server with 100 user license, 30 AMD based stand alone PCs connected to the server, and online UPS of 10KVA and 5KVA with power backup of 3-5 hours.
• 24-hour broadband connectivity.

Data Conversion:
• Data conversion is our main activity at present.
• From manuscripts/TIF to Word, PDF, XML or HTML;
• We use the double-key and compare method to do data entry, with an accuracy of 99.99%.

Data Mining:
• We collect data from the internet either on an hourly basis or on a per-record basis, organize them in the format required by the customer, and deliver the data in a turnaround time of 24 hours.
• We are currently working jointly on a data-mining project with an Indian partner for a US client.

Academic Tutoring:
. We have recently started services in this area of Knowledge Process Outsourcing, specializing for now on developing solutions to textbook quizzes, exercises and exams for students outside the Indian educational system.
