COMPANY OVERIVEW:
BC Manufacturing (BCM) provides nearshore, outsourced manufacturing and assembly services for companies in the aerospace/defense, automotive, biomedical, electronics and semiconductor sectors at Class A facilities in Baja California, Mexico (just 30 minutes from downtown San Diego).
Our shelter maquiladora provides labor and tax advantages; our proximity to the U.S. provides time to market benefits; and our industrial engineering skills allow us to help our customers achieve high quality manufacturing or assembly for key components or entire assemblies. Start-up operations can generally start as quickly as 6-10 weeks, allowing our customers to realize cost advantages and value right away and close to the U.S. market. As needed for each customer, BCM operations have been ISO9000 and QS9000 certified.
BCM's parent company (Vertek International) has over 20 years experience in shelter maquiladora manufacturing in Mexico and the Baja California region.
KEY INDIVIDUALS
John Riley, President/CEO: John is a widely recognized leader within the US/Mexico manufacturing industry with over 20 years experience in the maquiladora industry. He is the past Chairman of the Western Maquiladora Trade Association (USA/Mexico Manufacturing organization) and the Founding President of the Northwest Chapter of the "Mexican Chamber of the Electronics Industry, Telecommunications and Information Technology," (CANIETI) in Tijuana. John's activities also include being Board member of the Tijuana Economic Development Corporation, a member of Manufacturing Committee for the San Diego Chapter of the American Electronics Association, a Senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce.
Mario Rodriguez, President Mexico Operations: Mario is a seasoned executive with proven background with the transfer of manufacturing operations from US and Europe to Mexico. He has a business and engineering approach to make effective start-ups for our clients, reducing their operational costs and increasing their competitiveness. Mario applies strategic planning, project management and continuous improvement methodology to create a world class manufacturing environment, including best manufacturing practices and quality standards (ISO 9000, Ford 8-D, JIT, SPC, TQM, Lean Manufacturing) that meet our client's world class needs. Mario is also fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
José Elias Martinez, V.P Administration Mexico: Elias brings wide experience advising and assisting US-Mexico manufacturing operations regarding all government affairs related with their international trade activities. His areas of expertise include world class accounting and financial principles (FASB-52); and Mexico's Local, State and Federal laws and licenses required to run and start a manufacturing operation (Customs, Labor Department and IRS). His previous experience with Deloitte Touche has given Elias the discipline to implement administrative, accounting and financial controls aimed to provide insightful information to parent companies for effective business decision making and as well having a reliable operation in Mexico. Elias has a CPA degree and a Master Degree in Corporate Finances, and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

TERMS
BC Manufacturing (BCM) works with each client to develop an optimal outsourced manufacturing services agreement that provides maximum customer oversight and control while maintaining cost-cutting options in Mexico. Agreements typically cover hourly employees, facility leases, utilities, security, payroll, labor benefits, US and Mexican Customs support, NAFTA certification, and transportation services (to-from the US or other locations).
BCM can establish outsourced manufacturing shelter services in Mexico for our clients typically within 6-10 weeks (depends on necessary facility improvements, staff training, and equipment importation).
