We regularly represent and advise nationalized and foreign banks and financial institutions, SEBI; the regulatory authority for the securities market in India, FII’s, corporate brokers and various other corporates and institutions both in the public sector and private sector. We have also represented major corporates in Mergers and Acquisitions, Compromise and Amalgamation Schemes, Takeovers, including handling Legal Due Diligence, Rights Issue, GDRs and Private Equity Placements.

We have handled assignments which involved advising foreign companies on the entry strategy for India, i.e; through Joint Ventures, Wholly Owned Subsidiaries, Branch Office and/or Liaison Offices, advising on Joint Ventures or Franchises, obtaining approvals from the Reserve Bank of India, obtaining registrations with regulatory authorities.

We have also handled assignments involving advising and assisting in the incorporation of companies, vetting of memorandum and articles of association, filing of documents required for incorporation and obtainment of registration from the Registrar of Companies. We further advise corporates on the various compliance procedures under relevant laws, rules and regulations.

A significant part of the firm’s practice also involves Litigation and Alternate Dispute Resolution.
