UNITED STATES OUTSOURCING COMPANY
WAWPUF, LLC
Outsourcer Specializing in Hand Assembly
DESCRIPTION
WAWPUF, LLC specializes in technical outsourced hand assembly for companies that manufacture, assemble, or repair electrical or electronic components. WAWPUF provides labor, guaranteed quality and pick-up and delivery services for companies in close proximity to Atlanta. Clients provide all materials and any necessary machinery except hand tools.
SKILLS
WAWPUF’s twenty plus years of working with manufacturing firms plus an on-staff Mechanical Engineer provide experience to manage a product for optimal design and manufacturability with an emphasis on reducing costs while maintaining high quality.
Since assembly is in Atlanta, Georgia, manufacturers avoid the risk of losing proprietary processes to off-shore companies because of weak intellectual property laws outside the U.S.
Streamlined processes and use of part time employees enables WAWPUF to produce more quality pieces per hour per person than a full time employee can sustain over an eight hour period.
The savings in man-hours required to produce parts are passed on to clients so that they pay less per piece by outsourcing to WAWPUF.
Convenient pick-up and delivery services, as often as daily, are also available to clients located in close proximity to the shop.
In addition, WAWPUF will schedule timing of completed products to meet just-in-time delivery requirements, saving clients from warehousing costs and from paying for parts before they are needed.
Having a documented procedure to assemble each part allows WAWPUF to offer a guarantee that quality will meet the client’s specifications, saving clients money on quality control inspections as well as eliminating their training costs.
TERMS
Price per hour charged to a client ranges from $20 for simple assembly up to $60 for intricate assembly, comparable to the competition. However, WAWPUF is able to price projects below the competition because fewer total man-hours are required due to high number of parts produced each hour.
The high number of parts produced per hour is due to 1) expertise in efficient assembly processes, 2) the on-staff mechanical engineer's ability to design hand tools to increase productivity, and 3) use of part time employees based on time studies indicating part time employees can produce a higher number of quality parts over short periods of time compared to an employee working an eight hour shift.
