As part of our curriculum, I am exposed to molecular biology techniques like gel electrophoresis, DNA extraction, PCR, restriction digestion, RFLP etc, microbial technology, biochemistry, toxicology, environmental chemical analysis, environmental engineering etc.
. I got training in computer modeling of environmental bio processes and I have attended exclusive work shop on modeling conducted by Dr.Mark van Loosdrecht, from Technical University Delft, Holland, in association with School of Environmental studies, Cochin University.

I accomplished 16 credits M.Sc project work entitled "Media Development for Culturing of Micro aerobic Protozoa” at Environmental Technology Programme, Regional Research Laboratory (RRL) [institution of CSIR]. It was the part of an attempt to study the enhancement of biodegradation by using micro aerobic protozoa in syntrophic relationship with end symbiotic methanogens and compare their efficiency with a prokaryotic consortia.

Presently I am working as a Research associate at Environmental Research lab, Amrita Vishwa Vidya peetham [Deemed University], Coimbatore, India. I got training in computational chemistry from centre for excellence in computational engineering and networking Amrita Vishwa Vidya peetham.
