1. Established in September 2000, Vision Comptech is a reputed and well known IT/ITES/CAD solutions provider based out of Calcutta, India.
2. Vision Comptech is almost exclusively focused in providing outsourced services to its International and domestic clients in the areas of specialisation.
3. Vision Comptech has three main focus areas - IT and software services, CAD/CAE services and ITES operations focusing essentially on content and document management systems.
4. The company operates out of two modern offices, fully networked and globally connected, located at Calcutta’s Salt Lake Electronics Complex.

SKILLS
Vision Comptech, the IT arm of a 300 million (US) dollar corporate group based in Calcutta, India, has a very strong and focused workforce specializing in CAD projects. It currently consists of around 90 CAD specialists, along with domain experts in marine, mechanical and civil engineering, GIS, architecture, etc, fully trained and equipped to support projects in Tribon, IntelliShip, NAPA,AutoCAD, Pro/E, Solid Works, MDT and more.

As Global Outsourcing Partner of ABS, the world’s second largest marine survey & classification society, we are responsible for the management and deliveries of an over 100-strong offshore software development & CAD centre.

Our marine CAD team provides the following services in the area of shipbuilding:
- Fairing of hull lines and hull modelling for use in production of structural plans.
- Plate Nesting Plans & NC Cutting Tapes with bevelling information.
- Machinery installation and seating, stern gear. 3D modelling of machinery spaces, if required by client.
- Piping system plans with 3D modelling if required by client.
- Electrical & automation system plans with cable tray layout.
- Deck & hull out-fittings.
- Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.
- Interior outfits.

Our mechanical CAD team operates in the following broad areas:
· Digitization of engineering drawings (raster-vector).
· Detail engineering.
· 3D solid parametric modelling.
· Engineering analysis & product design.

Our civil/architectural CAD team operates in the following broad areas:
· Digitisation of raster images-drawings/plans.
· 3D modelling/rendering of civil/architectural/structural drawings.
· Developing architectural construction drawing from scheme designs.
· Customisation of architectural library for drawings.

TERMS
Prices:
1. CAD drafting & detailing (.TIFF to .DXF/.DWG) using AutoCAD: USD 6-8 per hour.
2. 3D modelling using AutoCAD from image files: USD 10-12 per hour.
3. Parametric modelling using Pro/E, Solid Works etc: USD 13-15 per hour.
4. Developing architectural construction drawing from scheme designs: USD 0.30 - 0.40 per sq.ft. (non heated area).
5. Our tribon hour costs USD 13-16 per hour per person.

* The final rates are decided on a case-to-case basis depending on the complexity for the job.
