DESCRIPTION
NanoWattICs is an IC design company. We provide modeling, design, layout, testing, and chip-certification management services for different types of ASICs. The founder members of our group have been performing industrial IC designs since 1996 when they co-designed a custom implantable ASIC for the pacemaker company CCC Medical Devices.

We have a core of 4 experienced IC Designers with many years of professional activity and degrees from well-recognized Universities. To present, NanoWattICs’ members have either worked and/or consulted for companies in Canada, Europe, USA, and Uruguay.

Our main expertise is in the area of ultra-low-power mixed-signal ASICs using Bulk/SOI CMOS, HV CMOS-compatible and BiCMOS technologies, particularly for high-reliability applications.

One characteristic that really set us apart from the rest of the design companies world-wide is the “know how” of designing power "aware" custom CMOS analog ICs by optimizing the design through architecture selection and the exploration of the design space, particularly the best operating region (weak inversion or subthreshold, moderate inversion, or strong inversion) for each transistor involved. We have mastered and automated this technique, which combined with the use of physically-based MOS models (such as EKV and ACM) for transistor dimensioning, allow us to customize the best ASIC for your application with rapid time-to-market.
