Our state of the Art Digitizing systems can measure freeform shapes and Parts quickly and easily. Our process is fast, accurate and highly efficient, providing downstream applications with good clean data which you can use for a variety of purposes. For example, our scanning systems scan a 4 ft. X 4 ft. mold or die (both halves) in 8 to 12 hours depending on the complexity. The result would be a dense point cloud which can easily be manipulated in our software or the customer’s. The point cloud may contain about 5 million or more measurement xyz points, which, if measured by a CMM, would take a very long time !! If required, we can convert that point cloud data to a surface model, or an STL model, both of which can be delivered to you in any format. Or, we can just deliver cross sections or splines to you. We can even update your CAD model using the part or tool scan as a reference. We also provide color error maps of comparison between the part or the tool with the original CAD. If desired, we can also do a comparison of different parts with each other.
