Basil was incorporated in November of 2004 to add a fresh perspective to the international advertising and design industry.

Probably the first independent business process outsourcing (BPO) company in the advertising industry, Basil addresses the need among agencies across the globe to improve profitability by offering to handle all back-end, non-creative processes. This would be achieved by creating and managing ‘Virtual Studios’.

Basil is promoted by an ex-advertising team who obviously understands the pains and processes, the work pressure, the last minute corrections, the deadlines, the delays and the screaming clients.

The company is currently present in London and Sweden with plans to establish offices in USA and Singapore.

SKILLS
The press studio would execute all printed artworking requirements by operating from the same source file used by the art director for the layout. The scope of work could be as follows:

- Complete campaign execution - Adapting the basic campaign to different sizes for press or for different media like posters, banners, etc.
- Adaptation artworks - From the first source file create artworks in different sizes.
- Language artworks - Base language campaign to be adapted to other language artworks.
- Catalogue management - Completing full-fledged technical, product and shopping catalogues after templates have been defined.
- Direct mailers - Labour intensive adaptation of DM packs, instruction manuals, annual reports etc.

The web studio would take care of all web based programming and coding work to execute website designs. A functional and technical brief would be taken and the relevant tools and technology would be used to finish as per specification. The scope of work could be as follows:

- Designing templates based on agency’s ideas/concepts.
- Database management.
- Programming, scripting and coding for templates.
- Action scripting/animations/Flash programming.
- Banners, emails, websites, intranets, extranet, ezines, web report creation.
- Content management, updates and maintenance.
- Testing and deployment.
- 2D and 3D illustration, walk throughs and animation.

The partnership between Basil and the agency would be flexible and adaptable to suit the business environment.

Job work: Processes have been made simple, electronic and easy to follow. A brief on a job could be sent with its necessary attachments to our team in India. Once the brief, time and costs have been validated, the job would be completed and a PDF sent for approval. Thereafter, the source files would be uploaded on to the FTP server. A relationship manager will follow through the job.
